Congratulations! you submitted your transfer application and are now waiting to hear back from the universities regarding acceptance.

Now what?

What should you be aware of as you wait to receive a response? Should you start creating your student portal for the university? Are there admission dates you need to be mindful of to avoid missing deadlines?

The "Next Steps" Workshop will outline the timeline from when you submit the transfer application to when you transfer to the school of your choice.

The UC Transfer Admission Planner (UC TAP) is a free online tool to help prospective UC transfer students track and plan their coursework. 

If you are thinking of transferring to a UC campus, setting up your TAP account is the first step. The planner helps students track their progress toward meeting UC's minimum requirements, and it allows UC staff to communicate important information to prospective transfer students. Your TAP account will allow you to easily discuss your transcript and coursework with University Representatives, and will be essential for students seeking a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) with one of the six participating UC campuses.

This UC TAP Workshop will provide instruction to students on how to enter their coursework (completed and planned) from the very beginning of their college careers, or at any point when they decide to transfer to a UC campus.

Six University of California (UC) campuses offer guaranteed admission to students from all California community colleges (CCC). Interested students must meet campus-specific requirements to qualify for a TAG. By participating in a TAG program, students can ensure their admission to a specific UC campus. Also, students interested in pursuing the Pathways+ transfer option will use a TAG to secure their guarantee.

Welcome to the Transfer Center – Ready to Apply for Spring/Fall 2022 Admission!

This process may look different than last year, don’t worry we are here to help you! Below you will find the steps you need to follow in preparation to attending a virtual workshop.

If you show up 10 minutes late, you will be ask to sign up for the following workshop!

Virtual Admission Application Workshop Materials

Prior to attending a workshop, the following is REQUIRED:

• Meet with a counselor (review you are transfer ready)
• Sign up for a workshop that best fits your schedule click here
• Complete the Transfer Tracking Sheet

Review the following documents:

• Review the Cal State Apply Transfer Student Application Guide
• Review the Cal State Apply Transfer credit entry guide
• Have unofficial transcripts of all colleges attended ready
• If you took AP exam and earn a score of 3, 4, or 5 you  will need to have this information
• Create your Cal State Apply account

Prior to leaving the workshop, please do the following:

• Sign up for another if you feel needed
• Complete Exit Survey allowing you to schedule a one-on-one appointment

• Only once you have attended a workshop will you be eligible to schedule an appointment with Dr. Letty Mojica or Maria Alonzo to have your application reviewed before submitting -- be sure your "Golden 4" are correct, you have all quadrants of the application complete, and benefit by having an expert review your application!
