Guidance for COVID-19 Exposures, Symptoms and Positive Cases: Guidance on Isolation and Quarantine for COVID-19 (ca.gov)
Positive Cases:
1. Stay home and upload on the My VCCCD app.
2. Isolate for 5 days after your symptoms started or positive test (if asymptomatic).
3. Wear a well fitted mask indoors around others for a total of 10 days from symptom onset or positive test (if asymptomatic).
Symptoms:
1. Stay home and upload on the My VCCCD app.
2. Take a COVID-19 test. Repeat in 48 hours if initial test was prior to third day of symptom onset and symptoms persist. Rapid home tests are more accurate at detecting the virus on/after 3rd day of symptoms
3. Wear a well-fitted mask indoors around others until you have a confirmed negative test.
Exposure:
1. Take a COVID test 3-5 days after last exposure date.
2. Wear a well-fitted mask indoors around others for 10 days after last exposure date.
3. Stay home and retest if symptoms develop and your first test was negative.
