|Oxnard College uses Canvas as the cloud-based learning management system (LMS) used in Distance Education classes. This is the application that stores all the syllabi, media, links, documents, meetings and videos that faculty provide for instruction over the Internet.|
|Faculty have access to Distance Education support from the Instructional Technologist/Designer at Oxnard College, as well as through the Oxnard College Distance Education Faculty Hub. If you don’t have access to the hub, please email your Instructional Technologist/Designer. The hub has videos for continued training, guides, and other instructions. It is updated on a continuing basis, so please check frequently.|
|Faculty’s primary point of contact for Canvas is Laura Gentry, at 805 678.5302. Laura is the Instructional Technologist/Designer. Laura is responsible for Canvas training, coordinating the Distance Education Summit events, and assisting faculty in getting their Online Teacher Training Course in Canvas (OTTCC).
