CARE (Co-operative Agencies, Resources for Education) is an educational support assistance program under the umbrella of EOPS, for single heads of households (one parent household), currently receiving CASH AID/TANF/CalWORKs, with at least one child UNDER the age of 18. (ALL CARE students are EOPS students).

Qualify for CARE Program

To qualify to be a CARE student you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be Eligible for the California College Promise Grant: A or B
  • Be a Full-Time student (12 units) in Fall or Spring / (4 units) in Summer
  • Be a California Resident
  • Must Have a Child UNDER the age of 18 years old
  • Must be currently receiving Cash Assistance by the County
  • Be considered by the County a One Parent Household
