Oxnard College students are interested and eager to connect with employers for job opportunities -- whether it is full time, part time, internship/apprenticeship opportunities, and virtual assignments.
OC Career Center serves as the liaison to connect employers with students. With the knowledge and experience offered through our various course programs, our students are skilled and ready for the job market.

Ventura County Community College District (VCCCD) offers Handshake, an online job board, where employers can connect with our campuses, post available positions, receive applications, and coordinate interviews.
Handshake is available for all students -- Oxnard College, Ventura College, and Moorpark College -- allowing employers to advertise opportunities and recruit students throughout our district.

Handshake - How to Connect w/VCCCD

As an employer, if you are already part of the Handshake network, simply add VCCCD to your list of schools to network.
If you are new to Handshake, please follow these instructions in the accordion dropdown menu below.

Join us on Handshake with these 4 steps:

Sign up:
visit https://bit.ly/handshake_newemployers and enter your email address and desired password. Then click "sign up"
Complete the registration:
Complete and submit the Company/Contact Information Form.
Review and submit:
Review the Employer Guidelines and submit. The new account will be reviewed, so please allow 24-48 hours for approval. You will receive a confirmation email with a link. Confirm your account and click "Create New Company profile" to complete.
Post new positions:
Once the account is created, you can post new jobs, manage existing postings, and review candidates to schedule interviews. Please note: new job postings will be reviewed for approval, so please allow 24-48 hours for the new posting to appear.
