Esmeralda Martinez-Rosales is the Career Coach at the Career Center, as part of the Proyecto Éxito grant. Esmeralda enjoys encouraging and supporting students to seek career resources.
Understanding the importance of community building and equitable access to information, Esmeralda supports presentations and workshops. She also works in collaboration with other departments on campus to help bring various career exploration experiences to students. Esmeralda also works as the point of contact for the Education Internship Placements for Oxnard College's Future Teacher Program.
Esmeralda is a first generation, Chicana from Pacoima - a city in the San Fernando Valley. While home is a drive away, she connects with students via similar shared lived experiences. Esmeralda always ensures that she is doing her best to be inclusive, understanding, and promoting vulnerability with her students as they navigate college.
Esmeralda received her B.A. from California State University, Northridge in Sociology and obtained her M.S. in Counseling, College Student Personnel from California Lutheran University. She looks forward to supporting all Oxnard College Condors as they navigate their career pathway.
