How much do textbooks cost?

Textbooks can be purchased new, used, or rented from the Oxnard College Bookstore. Just type in your course and section number (see schedule links above) and the website will tell you which books are required for the course. There are also options to use some textbooks for free through our library and the Open Educational Resource program (the library can be reached at 805-678-5819).

If cheap options are not available at the OC bookstore or library, we encourage you to explore the library or popular retailers like Amazon.com or Chegg.com that provide cheap textbook rentals. While new books can vary in cost and some cost over $100, you can buy used textbooks or rent them for much cheaper than that—as low as $10! If you complete the FAFSA there may also be financial aid available to help pay for textbooks.
