About Program

Oxnard College's Astronomy classes are an introduction to astronomy for both science and non-science students. The intent of the courses are to familiarize each student with the terms, tools, and theories of modern astronomy. Topics covered include historical events and discoveries, personalities, and tools, as well as studies of the solar system, stars, galaxies, pulsars, and black holes.
