Military Installation Resilient Design Challenge

• Arizona State University Laboratory for Energy And Power Solutions is excited to host an online virtual scenario-based military resiliency challenge!  This challenge is open to students currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university.
• $5,000 participant stipend
• Accepting Submissions June 1, 2023 – August 15, 2024

OC Foundation Scholarship

• A variety of Scholarship Grants are available based on criteria including academic achievement, financial need, community involvement, program of study and more. 

• Attend a demonstration, workshop, or Q&A drop in to learn more and get assistance with applying to scholarships. Dates can be found here. 

• For students currently attending Oxnard College who will continue their studies in 2024-25 at Oxnard College = OCF Continuing/Returning Student Application (deadline: 05/31/2024 @ 11:59pm)

Lucix Corporation

Lucix is a trusted supplier of satellite payload RF units to the major Satellite OEMs, including Astrium, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Loral, MDA, and Orbital Sciences. Our designs are qualified for all of these Satellite Platforms, and cover the frequency range from UHF through L, C, X, Ku, Ka and Q Bands. All hardware is designed, qualified, manufactured, tested and shipped from Lucix facilities in Camarillo, California.

• Looking for 2 paid summer interns
• Test Technician Intern ($20-$30/hr full-time)

COMSAT Teleport

COMSAT, Inc. is a leading operator of customized, secure end-to-end satellite communications services. They deliver a full portfolio of fixed satellite solutions (C-Band, Ku-Band, Ka-Band, X-Band and UHF), mobile satellite solutions (Inmarsat, Thuraya and Iridium) and teleport services to aeronautical, land-mobile and maritime users in multiple markets, including U.S. government and military, global governments and commercial maritime.

  • Open to individuals working towards an AA or AS in a science-based field

• Join computer science college students from throughout California in a program designed to help you hone your problem solving skills, prepare for technical and non-technical interviewing, and ultimately get you started in a meaningful summer work experience.   • Have taken at least an Intro Programming Course
  • Are interested in landing a traditional tech internship, an REU, or a Summer Open Source Experience in summer 2025
  • Can put in 6-10 hours per week over the next 40 weeks

NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS)

Mission 1: Discover

• A 5-week, self-paced online course.
• This orientation to NASA sets a baseline for all students wishing to pursue subsequent NCAS missions. Students will gain a broad knowledge of what NASA has in its current plan and how they can play a role. STEM based activities embedded in the online course include live and recorded subject matter expert lectures, interactive multimedia on NASA content, interactions with fellow aerospace scholars, knowledge assessments including a final project, and guidance and support from trained professional educators.

• Applications are accepted until 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 10, 2024.
