UC Transfer Admission Guarantee - TAG

The benefits of participating in a TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee) include early notification of admission, course planning assistance, and informational mailing and invitations to university events.

  • Complete a TAG online application to one of 6 participating UC's (Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz).
  • Complete at least 60 UC-transferable semester units by the end of spring prior to fall admission
  • Maintain the stated GPA for that university
  • Fulfill the requirements as stated for each university
  • TAG applications must be submitted online by September 30.
  • The UC Admission Application must be submitted online at by November 30
  • The supplemental criteria for selective majors will vary by UC campus (please check with a counselor).

The OC Outreach team launched Condor Corner last fall and are happy to share we will continue to provide this service. This means outreach staff is available, without an appointment, to guide students through our application and matriculation process. This space is open for counselors, parents, students, and anyone in the community that may have questions about Oxnard College and how to get started. This occurs every Wednesday (except holidays) from 3:30-5:30 pm via live Zoom.

                                   2021-22 President’s Leadership Forum

There are still several openings for students in the 2021-22 President’s Leadership Forum. The PLF is a unique venue for students to meet bi-weekly with OC President Sanchez as they study extraordinary leaders together, culminating in a  letter of recommendation that is often helpful for transfer and career purposes. Perhaps more importantly, participating students tend to form long-lasting bonds with other future leaders as they develop their own networks of support and influence. Last year’s PLF cohort included a student who was accepted to Stanford University with a Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship, and quite a few PLF participants are accepted for transfer to their first-choice universities.

NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) is an agencywide STEM engagement activity for community college students to engage in authentic learning experiences with NASA’s diverse people, content and facilities. Funded by the Minority Undergraduate Research and Education Project’s (MUREP) competitive awards, NASA provides financial assistance to minority serving institutions. These institutions recruit and retain underrepresented and underserved students, including women, girls, veterans and persons with disabilities, into STEM fields.

During the program, students compete to become a NASA Community College Aerospace Scholar by completing STEM-based activities online to become eligible to visit a NASA Center for a four-day, expenses paid, onsite experience.

The genesis of Microalgae came from an alumni of the NCAS activity who simply proposed a good research idea and is now an International Space Station (ISS) Payload Developer.
