2024 Employee of the Year
On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, Fidelia Flores was selected to represent VCCCD as the 2024 Classified Employee of the Year. The District awards this distinction in accordance with the California Community Colleges (CCC) Board of Governors. She is now eligible to be considered for the statewide award.
Fidelia is a first-generation college student from a migrant worker background, which helps her understand many of our students' challenges. She goes above and beyond assisting students with their financial aid needs. She had an instrumental role in writing the Catalyst Grant that established the OC Dream Resource Center. Fidelia goes above and beyond her duties and assists with the Dream Resource Center, Cash for College, and is a liaison for OC Homeless Students and for Undocumented students. She has been a proud Condor for over ten years and has served as Classified Senate Treasurer, among other roles.
