11:00 AM - 12:45 PM

Join Jessica Kuang and Jen Wilson on Wednesday, April 22nd from 11:00am - 12:45pm in in the OC STEM Center (2nd floor of Condor Hall) as part of Diversity & Culture Week.

This 90-minute workshop pairs a 45-minute presentation with a hands-on session exploring the 3,000-year evolution of Chinese writing—from oracle bones to its role as a unifying cultural “DNA.” Participants compare it with systems like cuneiform and hieroglyphics while reflecting on cross-cultural interpretations. The session concludes with interactive character decoding and a calligraphy experience.

This is a FREE event that is open to all.
