The Oxnard College Teatro Club is proud to present “La Conquista” on Tuesday, April 21st at 1:30pm in the amphitheater as part of Diversity & Culture Week. This is a FREE event that is open to all.
The play depicts the arrival of Hernán Cortés and his encounter with Moctezuma, emphasizing the indispensable role of Malinche as a translator and strategic mediator between the two civilizations. Ultimately, it portrays the fall of Tenochtitlan as the birth of a new identity and a complex cultural blend that persists through history.
