OC LIVE is proud to present “Breaking Barriers: Unveiling the Unique Experiences Within the Deaf Community” on Monday, May 5th, at 6pm in the beautiful Oxnard College Performing Arts Building.

OC LIVE: Breaking Barriers

Join us for a dynamic panel discussion featuring Deaf members of our community and parents of Deaf children as they share their diverse experiences and perspectives. Learn about the barriers they’ve faced and ways to promote inclusivity and regard for Deaf culture.

For those interested in learning ASL, Oxnard College offers courses with an option to earn a Certificate of Achievement in ASL or an A.A. degree in Deaf Studies. Contact professors Adriana Nino (adriana_nino1@vcccd.edu) or Emily Talbot (etalbot@vcccd.edu) for more information.

This is a FREE event that is open to the public. No tickets are necessary. Parking is FREE in Lot “H.” ASL services will be provided. Find all of our event information on the web at oxnardcollege/oclive.
