You are invited to apply to C-GEM’s Summer Undergraduate Research Program (C-GEM SURP) where you will have the opportunity to perform cutting-edge research under the mentorship of seasoned scientists. Applications are due February 1st (apply here). 

Join us for an information session/Q&A in November to learn more about the details of the program and how to write a competitive personal statement for your application. RSVP here.

C-GEM is seeking to expand the chemistry of the proteome, and projects span the chemistry-biology interface, including projects in organic synthesis, mass spectrometry, directed evolution, and structural biology. The program provides housing and board, a generous stipend, and support for travel to and from the research site. No prior research experience is required to participate!

The IEEE Buenaventura Section (IEEE-BV) of Ventura County (Calif) 2025 scholarship program is now open and will award two $1000 scholarships at our November 2025 group meeting (date/time TBD). IEEE-BV Scholarship website with applications and instructions.

INTERNSHIPS

Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program

NREIP places academically talented college and graduate students with interest and ability in science and engineering as participants in Department of Navy laboratory research for ten weeks during the summer. Interns will be selected based upon academic achievement, personal statements, recommendations, and career and research interests.
