Rebecca Martinez is a Career Counselor at the Career Center, and enjoys supporting students' career development by helping them build confidence in their career exploration, identity development, decision-making process, and creating space where students can share their career narratives. She is also a Counselor at the 1st Step Center where she supports students in their matriculation process by assisting undecided students, educational planning, and more!
Understanding the importance of knowing oneself and gaining information about the world of work, Rebecca also supports in hosting workshops such as Areas of Interest, Career Exploration, and much more.
Rebecca is a proud Nicaragüense- Salvadoreña American who was raised by a single immigrant mother. As a first-generation student, Rebecca enjoys the opportunity to uplift and create space for the hidden voices within the Latinix communities that may often get overlooked.
Rebecca received her B.S. in Education and Psychology & Social Behavior at UC Irvine (ZOT ZOT ZOT). She also obtained her M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in College Counseling and Student Services from Cal State Northridge. She looks forward to supporting and knowing all Condors who walk through our doors and need assistance.
