Amparo Medina serves as a STEM Student Success and Support Specialist II for OC STEM Project Acabado at Oxnard College. Her work focuses on developing a STEM teacher pipeline that starts at OC. These homegrown teachers will serve our community and inspire the future generations of STEM innovators.
Amparo is passionate about giving back to our students and community. She is the current Classified Senate President where she strives to raise the classified voice in college decision making. In her tenure at OC she has worked for Educational Assistance Center and Business Services. She earned an MS in Educational Counseling from the University of La Verne and holds a BA from UC Berkeley.
Amparo is busy raising three young men, two of which will be attending high school. As a mom, community member and OC employee, she understands the importance of creating educational and career pathways to assist our future generations.
