Oxnard College prepares for second season under Head Coach Bill Propster
Bill Propster, entering his second year as Women’s Soccer Head Coach, is looking forward to building on the program’s success of last season when the Lady Condors went 11-8-2. “Our goal is to make Oxnard College Women’s Soccer one of the top programs in the state. We want to be known as a program that develops great players, great Student Athletes and great young women. Our belief is that developing the mental ability to push them is the key to our players being successful on the field, in the classroom and in life. The commitment from the Coaches and players is develop that ability to commit to being successful”.
Coach Propster has extensive coaching and playing experience. He was the assistant coach here at Oxnard College for 5 years. He’s also been the Head Coach for the Westlake High School boys’ varsity team for the last 14 seasons. During that time his teams have won four league championships and finished in the top-ten in CIF rankings six times in the last 10 years. He has been voted Marmonte League Coach of the Year three times.
He grew up playing soccer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and played at the University of North Carolina where he graduated in 1980 as the Tar Heels 10th all-time leading scorer. He holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University.
The Lady Condors open their season when they host the Sea Breeze Tourney, starting August 27th.
