Oxnard is the fastest growing city in Ventura County. Oxnard schools have the lowest college attendance in the county. Retention, transfer and graduation rates are compelled to improve. Close collaboration with higher ed. UCSB, CSUCI and CLU. Specialized events for secondary students to inform them of the pathway to college and financial aid. Reach children as young as third grade to familiarize them and their families with the campus and college going process. Help to create a college going culture with an expectation of success and achieving academic and career goals.
Aim of the Effort:
1. Evidence of guidance to learners and families 3rd-college graduation
2. Increased number of students receiving Pell Grants
3. Evidence of increased collaboration with higher ed and K-12 districts
