COVID Testing Verification
Covid Testing Verification
Starting October 18th and for the rest of fall semester, all students and employees who are not fully vaccinated or who are still waiting for their vaccine cards to be verified on the MyVCCCD app will be required to get a PCR COVID test twice a week. Employees’ tests must occur at least 48 hours apart. You must then submit your two test results through the MyVCCCD app no later than noon every Sunday in order to access the campus later that same week. Additionally, everyone must continue to complete the app’s regular screening questions before heading to campus.
Free testing will be available on campus!*
Where: Conference room at the back of the PE/Gym Building
(N. Campus & Simpson Rd.)
When: Monday, Tuesday, Friday 9 AM–12 PM
Wednesday, Thursday 1–4 PM
Test results will be emailed out within approximately 24–48 hours. Off-campus test results are also permitted, but only PCR tests will be accepted.
For those of you who are already fully vaccinated and have had your vaccination card verified through the MyVCCCD app, please continue to answer the app’s screening questions before coming to campus.

Greetings!
In summer 2022 the Department of Computer Science at Boise State University will host a nine-week interdisciplinary undergraduate research program, Data-driven Security, focusing on applying data science and artificial intelligence to mitigate cyberattacks and other security risks and threats. We hope you will assist us by sharing this opportunity with your students. We welcome applications from current undergraduate students who have a strong interest in computer science, mathematics, or engineering. This intensive program will expose up to ten undergraduate students to topics in cybersecurity (intrusion and threat detection, lightweight cryptography, side-channel attacks), misbehavior detection, national security (e.g., counter-terrorism), and misinformation mitigation. The program aims to immerse undergraduate students of diverse backgrounds in all facets of research in computer science and mathematics in a culture of close and daily collaboration with faculty.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: January 14, 2022
Students who are also members of groups underrepresented in STEM fields or who are enrolled in a minority-, women's-, or non-doctoral institution are particularly encouraged to apply.
REU program features
- 9-week research experience in data-driven security.
- Receive $5,400 stipend plus $900 allowance for meals and $1,500 for housing.
- Travel funds to/from the Data-driven Security REU site (if held in person).
- Participate in professional development workshops addressing research presentation skills, scientific writing, and ethics.
- Attend scientific seminars and guest lectures by computer scientists and mathematicians.
- Be part of the summer research community of collaborators, students, and faculty, from all STEM disciplines and programs on campus.
- Opportunity to present at the 2022 Idaho Conference on Undergraduate Research (ICUR).
- Opportunity to win a travel grant to present summer research results at a professional conference.
- Enjoy the various cultural and social activities in and around Boise
