Students must apply by the deadline dates to receive an Associate Degree and/or a Certificate of Achievement. The application must be submitted to the Counseling Office by the deadline posted on the Registration Calendar for the current semester. Associate Degrees and Certificate of Achievements are not automatically awarded.
To ensure that all requirements are met, students are encouraged to use DegreeWorks to check their progress. Degreeworks is a planning tool and is not an official notification of completed degrees or certificates. Your academic counselor can help you with questions regarding your degree audit report, catalog year, or your official degree/certificate completion status.
Graduation applications can be submitted through the Counseling Office, or online. If you are submitting your application through email, please attach a DegreeWorks audit verifying the completion of all requirements. Fall Graduation - Refer to the registration calendar of the current semester.

Summer Graduation - Refer to the registration calendar of the current semester.
Applications received after the deadline will be processed for the following semester.
Official transcripts from other colleges must be on file at the Admissions & Records Office by no later than the end of the term in which you apply. External transcripts are required to be submitted to the Admissions and Records Office if courses are being used to satisfy requirements. Failure to provide official transcripts will result in a denial of your Associate Degree and/or Certificate of Achievement application.
The commencement ceremony is held once a year at the end of the Spring semester.
Detailed commencement information is available online and will also be mailed to all graduation candidates prior to commencement.
Degrees and Certificates can be picked up in the Admissions and Records Office approximately 8 - 10 weeks after the end of the term. Once your degree or certificate is available for pickup, you will receive an email from the Admissions and Records Office. Degrees/Certificates will not be released if you have outstanding financial obligations to Oxnard College. Check your MyVCCCD portal account for any financial holds.
