Canvas Training for All Online Instructors

This summer, we are moving from Desire2Learn to the Canvas Learning Management System.

If you are planning to teach an online or hybrid course in the future for VCCCD, there are two online training classes scheduled for this semester:

  • February 13 to March 13

  • March 20 to April 17

The sooner you complete the training, the sooner you will be able to begin setting up your Canvas classes in advance of the switch! Give yourself plenty of room and register for the trainings using this link: Spring 2017 Training Sign-Up Form

The trainings take about one month to complete, but can be completed sooner. Questions? Contact Ashley Chelonis.

Not teaching online or hybrid courses in 2017?

“Desire2Learn (D2L) Lite” is currently your web-enhance tool for all on-ground courses. Advance notices will be sent out to prepare you for saving your D2L content and the shift to Canvas this summer. The specific details and support resources will be available later this semester.

If you would like to start playing with Canvas for your future on-ground classes now, you can fill out a survey to tell us a little more about how you web-enhance. You will be put on a list to be setup early in Canvas. The Instructional Technologist will send you getting-started directions. Sign up here: Web-enhance Survey (for early Canvas access/testing)
