It's taught by head coach David Fischer who played more than 10 years on the AVP played his indoor at Stanford. Special guest appearances will be made by Jill Muhe, a current AVP player who also coaches and conditions the varsity team.
Oxnard College fields a varsity team in the fall. Events are scheduled in Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, San Luis Obispo, Orange County.... Practices will be from 1-3pm Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday beach volleyball workouts. D1 and D2 NCAA colleges have made 'sand' volleyball eligible for the 2010-11 season and Oxnard College is minutes from the beach.
Oxnard College athletes are also welcome to take classes at Moorpark College or Ventura College. They're all connected. Most people don't know this.
