Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Workshops

Why should you attend?

You risk being disqualified from receiving future federal financial aid if you don't stay informed of recent regulations and how they affect your lifetime Pell eligibility. The SAP standards and the Student Rights and Responsibilities will both be addressed at the workshop.

You are expected to also understand:

  • Pell Lifetime Eligibility Used
  • Attending Hours
  • Freeze Date
  • SAP Standards
  • Overpayment Status
  • Return to Title IV (R2T4)
  • Program of Study
  • Board of Governor's Fee Waiver (BOGW)

Why do I have a Mandatory SAP Workshop requirement on my Financial Aid tab?

If you have the requirement on your Financial Aid tab, you need to attend a mandatory SAP Workshop. After you attend a workshop, allow 1-2 weeks for this requirement to be satisfied on your Financial Aid tab.

How long is each workshop?

The mandatory sessions will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes with Q&As. If you do not show up on time or if you leave early, you will not receive credit for attending the workshop.

How do I receive credit for attending a workshop?

During each workshop, you should fill out the workshop sign-in sheet. Please be sure to bring your Oxnard College student ID. Your OC student ID number is used to track your participation in workshops, so be sure to bring it with you.

Where will workshops be held?

SAP Workshops will be held at the AA 101. The classroom is located behind the Administration building (located on N. Campus Rd), near the Campus Police Office.

  • 4000 South Rose Ave, Oxnard, CA 93033
