**The Spring 2014 Degrees and Certificates are now ready for pick up in the Admissions and Records Office.**
Students must apply by the deadline dates to receive an Associate Degree and/or a Certificate of Achievement. The application must be submitted to the Counseling Office by the Spring degree or certificate deadline to participate in the graduation ceremony. Associate Degrees and Certificate of Achievements are not automatically awarded.
Refer to the "Registration Calendar" for deadlines.
To ensure that all requirements are met, students are encouraged to use DegreeWorks to check their progress. Degreeworks is a planning tool and is not an official notification of completed degrees or certificates. Your academic counselor can help you with questions regarding your degree audit report, catalog year, or your official degree/certificate completion status.
Graduation applications can be submitted through the Counseling Office, or online. If you are submitting your application through email, please attach a DegreeWorks audit verifying the completion of all requirements. There is no fee to submit an Associate Degree or Certificate of Achievement application. The counseling office can be reached at 805-986-5816 or through email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students applying for a degree and/or certificate that is no longer offered must have catalog rights. Not sure about your catalog rights? An academic counselor can assist you with your application.
Fall Graduation - Refer to the registration calendar of the current semester.
Spring Graduation - Refer to the registration calendar of the current semester.
Summer Graduation - Refer to the registration calendar of the current semester.
Applications received after the deadline will be processed for the following semester.
Official transcripts from other colleges must be on file at the Admissions & Records Office by no later than the end of the term in which you apply. External transcripts are required even if courses are not being used to satisfy degree requirements. Failure to provide official transcripts will result in a denial of your Associate Degree and/or Certificate of Achievement application.
The commencement ceremony is held once a year at the end of the Spring semester.
Detailed commencement information will be available online and will also be mailed to all graduation candidates prior to commencement.
Degrees and Certificates can be picked up in the Admissions and Records Office approximately 8 - 10 weeks after the end of the term. Once your degree or certificate is available for pickup, you will receive an email from the Admissions and Records Office. Degrees/Certificates will not be released if you have outstanding financial obligations to Oxnard College. Check your MyVCCCD portal account for any financial holds.
