Office of Student Learning

Reporting to the President, the Executive Vice President of Student Learning serves as the chief academic officer of the College. The Executive Vice President of Student Learning serves as a member of the President’s Executive Team and has overall responsibility for academic programs, faculty, distance education, and selected grants. Duties include overseeing the development, organization, and revision of the college’s academic programs; evaluating instruction according to college policy; participating in the development and revision of academic policy; supporting specialized accreditations for academic programs; demonstrating a strong commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college.

Student Learning encompasses both Instruction and Student Services, and the Dean/Director in each of these areas plays a vital role in the college’s overall dedication to student success.

The Office of Student Learning is responsible for creating the schedule of classes each semester, the catalog each academic year, and for ensuring that all of our courses and programs created by the faculty and approved by the Board of Trustees are also approved by the state Chancellor’s Office as required by Title 5.  Several key individuals work with the Executive Vice President to complete these important tasks:
