When Dr. Richard Duran first assumed the presidency of Oxnard College in 2007 he decided to send out a bi-monthly email newsletter to inform the campus community about positive developments and to recognize the accomplishments of those who are working to improve the educational experience of students who attend Oxnard College. He solicited suggestions from campus staff and students to name the newsletter and "The OC Communicator" was selected.
