The Training Institute at Oxnard College is an important part of the Occupational Education & Economic Development Division headed by Division Dean Jaime Casillas, Ed.D. The institute is the interface for the colleges two major Economic Development Inititatives: the Workplace Learning Resource Center (WpLRC), which is under the direction of Lucia Haro and the Center for International Trade Development (CITD), under the direction of Sunil Trivedi.
We are members of the California Community College Economic and Workforce Development Program and belong to a network of more than 100 Workforce Centers. Our purpose is to actively promote and support the growth of the state's economy by providing employers with consultation and customized training that allows them to maintain a strong and competitive workforce.
To deliver effective and efficient consulting, training and follow-up services while addressing the needs of a diverse community workforce.
The vision of the Training Institute at Oxnard College is to be a professional development trainer throughout Ventura County.
