Bookstore Refund Policy
- Original Receipt REQUIRED for all refunds. Refunds made in original method of payment only.
- Summer and late start classes must be returned within three (3) days from the start of classes.
- Fall and Spring semester refund deadline is within five (5) days of the start of classes.
- Thereafter, a full refund will be offered with a full refund drop slip and the original receipt prior to the drop deadline of Oxnard College.
- Textbooks purchased after the refund period must be returned within 24 hours with receipt.
- Full refunds will only be given if the book has not been damaged in any way. New books must be in mint condition. The bookstore reserves the right to assess the condition of all returned items.
- Sealed books must be returned unopened for full refund.
- Books that are not in new condition may be refunded at 75% of purchase price, at the discretion of the bookstore manager, and shelved as used.
- Defective textbooks must be exchanged within the same semester of purchase.
- Returns for cancelled or dropped classes are made by exception only.
- General merchandise and clothing must be returned within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase with receipt. Clothing may not have been washed or worn.
- Non-returnable items include software, e-books, computer accessories, electronics, study aides, test preparation books, Cliffs Notes, catalogs, special orders, seasonal and clearance merchandise.
- Refunds on credit card purchases will only be issued to the credit card used for the original purchase. Must present register receipt and accompanying credit card.
