The Oxnard College Maintenance & Operations Department cordially invites all OC Faculty and Staff to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House for the new M & O Warehouse on Friday, April 20, 2007, from noon to 2 p.m.
There's a country western theme to the event which includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a barbecue held in the new warehouse parking lot and tours of the spacious new facility, which was finally occupied by the Maintenance & Operations department earlier this year. There will be "boot-scooting" fun and music provided by a KHAY-FM radio DJ.

Oxnard College President Dr. Richard Duran expressed thanks to Will Deits and the staff of the Oxnard College Maintenance & Operations department for their dedication to serving Oxnard College and keeping the facility operational despite limited space and resources. The department has been waiting for years for a new warehouse and now they have sufficient space and state-of-the-art equipment for future campus growth. Special thanks went out to the Ventura County Community College District purchasing and accounts payable staff whose assistance helped to make sure all the invoices and requisitions were taken care of.
Dr. Duran also praised the support of the Oxnard College faculty and staff who served on the campus Facilities Planning Steering Committee and to all of those voters who supported the district's Bond Measure S, which provided additional funding for this warehouse.
