COMMUNITY EDUCATION COURSES TO BE OFFERED AT OC ON FEBRUARY 23
Two Community Education classes will be offered at Oxnard College beginning Monday, February 23rd – Beginning Tagalog and the Culture of the Philippines and Flamenco Guitar instruction.
The Beginning Tagalog class will be held on six Mondays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in LA-18. The class, which will end on March 30, is taught by Franz Lopez. The class offers instruction in beginning conversational Tagalog along with information about the culture and history of the Phillipines. The Flamenco Guitar class is being taught by professional musician Benjamin Shearer and will be offered for six Mondays through March 30, 2009. Students should bring their guitars, score pad and pencils and should be able to play basic guitar.
