| Oxnard College Career & Transfer Day is September 24 – Representatives from more than 30 universities and colleges will provide transfer information to Oxnard College students on Thursday, September 24, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the new Students Services & Administration building. Transfer Center coordinator Cesar Flores said representatives and hiring managers from employers throughout Ventura County will also be accepting resumes and providing information on job opportunities. Among the universities and colleges that are expected to be at the career and job fair are UCLA, UCSB, California Lutheran University, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Riverside, California State University, Channel Islands, University of LaVerne, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CSU Northridge and many others. In addition, buses from each of the schools in the Oxnard Union High School District are expected to bring college- and university-bound high school students with questions on eligibility requirements and application deadlines. Since many of the University of California and California State University campuses have been affected by budgetary constraints, high school and community college students are being encouraged to complete applications as soon as possible if they plan to attend college in 2010. |
