| The McNish Art Gallery will present a summer art exhibition titled “Cool Kids Never Have the Time”. This show will feature the works of 4 advanced art students from Oxnard College’s Art department including Aaron Dadacay, Gladys Rodriguez, Gene Tapia, and Maria Villote. The artists explore personal narratives and experimental approaches through collage paintings, sculpture from found objects, and installations. A radical, yet playful mix of political street art aesthetics, complex architectural designs, handmade digital art, and paintings of pop-cultural icons compose this exhibition by 4 fresh, young, vibrant artists from Oxnard. A reception will be held on Friday, July 21 from 6:00 – 9:00pm. The show is free and open to the public. Parking after July 21st is $1 for visitors to the campus.
