Oxnard College Academic Senate President Mary Jones will join Ventura County Community College District Trustee Art Hernandez of Oxnard and other college officials in saluting recipients of certificates of achievement at the Thursday, May 17 ceremony.
The ceremony begins at 6 p.m. in the Oxnard College Gymnasium.
Presenting the140 certificates of achievement to students who have achieved vocational degrees will be Mr. Hernandez, Oxnard College Interim President Mr. Michael Gregoryk and Ms. Jones. Dr. Anthony Tricoli, Executive Vice President of Student Learning, will welcome the students and their guests and Associated Students President Albert Mendez will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The Hueneme High School Naval Junior ROTC will perform the presentation of the colors and guitarist Carlos Gonzales will play classic guitar selections. Sign language interpreters Linda Lehman and Catherine Tabor will translate the proceedings.
