September 11, 2002 -- Oxnard College President Dr. Lydia Ledesma-Reese has invited all college faculty, classified staff, students, administrators and children from the Oxnard College Child Development Center to gather around the Rose Avenue flagpole the morning of September 11 at about 8:47 a.m. PST to commemorate the one-year anniversary of those who died following the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, Pennsylvania and to honor those members of the armed forces serving overseas. There will be a brief ceremony of remembrance, a moment of silence and the singing of the national anthem.
