The Ventura County Community College District Board of Trustees is inviting the entire community to meet the finalists for the Oxnard College presidency during a special Presidential Candidates' Forum scheduled for Monday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Oxnard College Library.
All Oxnard College faculty, classified staff, managers and students are encouraged to attend the forum. Classified staff will receive release time to attend this important event.
On Tuesday, April 16, the Board of Trustees will interview the final candidates but no announcement is expected and site visitations will take place.
The forum will be moderated by the Oxnard College Academic Senate and Senate President Mary Jones has announced the format for the event:
Call to order and opening remarks by Interim Executive Vice President for Student Learning Dr. Ruth Hemming;
Opening statement by the candidate;
Candidate will respond to three scripted questions while audience members submit written questions;
Candidate will respond to 45 minutes of audience questions (written questions only) and then deliver a closing statement.
A 15-minute break will follow and the format will be repeated for each candidate.
