"CONDOR SPIRIT DAY" IS SEPT. 16
Plans are underway for OC Associated Student Government's "Condor Spirit Day" to be held Thursday, Sept. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the OC Student Center.
ASC Public Relations Officer Liz Newman said the main goal of the event is to get students involved in campus life. "I want them to be able to take advance of the programs we offer as well as support our athletic teams," said Ms. Newman. "In order to make this possible we need to get the word out about all the great programs this school has to offer."
As part of "Condor Spirit Day" she is urging all staff, faculty and students to show their school spirit by wearing something that expresses "Condor Pride," and that will show off the school colors of ROYAL BLUE and KELLY GREEN.
She hopes to get campus programs like EOPS, CARE, OC Athletics, Financial Aid and the various academic and vocational departments to showcase their programs at the event. Associated Student Government will provide tables, chairs and decorations for their areas. In addition, Gold Coast Broadcasting will be at the event with music provided by Q-104.7 and LIVE 105.5 deejays. There will also be a booth promoting voter registration.
