OC TRANSFER CENTER OFFERS ASSIST.ORG WORKSHOPS – In September, the Oxnard College Transfer Center will offer a series of ASSIST.org and Transfer oriented workshops for students planning to transfer to the University of California and California State University systems. Students who want training to access the ASSIST.org website should call Transfer Center counselor Cesar Flores at 986-5973 or email cflores@vcccd.edu to sign up for a workshop on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd from 10 to 11 a.m. in the JCC-1 meeting room near the County Job and Career Center building. ASSIST, the official repository of articulation for California’s public colleges and universities, is an online student-transfer information system that shows how course credits earned at one California college or university can be applied when transferred to another. ASSIST.org provides the most accurate and up-to-date information about student transfer procedures in California. The OC Transfer Center will also offer a “UC Admissions” workshop for students on Thursday, September 24, 2009, from 1:15 to 2:15 pm. in JCC-1. Students can sign up for this workshop by calling the Transfer Center at 986-5837.
