More than 35 employers will solicit job applications and interview potential candidates for employment at the Wednesday, April 9, 2008 Oxnard College Job Fair held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Letters and Science quad area near the OC Clocktower.
The event is open to the public.
The employers will staff information booths and job applicants are encouraged to “dress for success” and bring their typed resumes with them for on-site job referrals and job interviews. Local employers are looking for applicants interested in entry-level, part-time and summer internship positions, according Reggie Talili, Oxnard College Career Resources specialist.
The Job & Career Center offices will be made available for on-site interviews and application sessions. Applicants should remember to bring the following materials with them:
Copies of applicant resumes
Master application form
Personal and professional reference list
Letters of recommendation
Copies of certificates and diplomas
Career Fair employers expected to attend include representatives from the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department, the Ventura County Sheriffs Department, Sam’s Club, Ventura County Environmental Health Division, Harbor Freight, Macy’s, Pacific Camps, KDAR radio, Verizon, Oxnard Lemon Association, Southern California Gas Company, The Body Shop, First Nationwide, Boys and Girls Club of Oxnard, Spherion, Westaff, Allied Barton Security, Meathead Movers, Carney Tutoring Services, Viola, Inc., Aerotek, Help Unlimited, UPS, T-Mobile, Port Hueneme Naval Weapons Center Commissary, California Highway Patrol, California Youth Authority, California Dept. of Rehabilitation, Jersey Mikes, Loehmann’s, Mandalay Beach Resort, Bass Apparel, Geoffrey Beene Co., Inclusive Education and Community Partnership and Babies ‘R Us. |
