The Black Educators Association of Oxnard College, in association with the Channel Islands Chapter of the LINKS Inc., and the Amgen Black Employees Network will be sponsoring the Annual Oxnard College Youth Summit for high school and middle school students on Saturday, February 7, 2009. The event begins with check-in registration at 8:30 a.m. and a continental breakfast, followed by an opening session in LS-8, the Clocktower Auditorium. There will be a health and wellness activity followed by workshops in classrooms throughout the Oxnard College campus. There will be an opportunity for the participants to ask questions of professionals from various occupations including education, science and telecommunications in an open forum session.
