The Oxnard College Scholars’ Lecture Series is presented by faculty members of Oxnard, Ventura and Moorpark Colleges and guest speakers. This series features rich educational and cultural events including lectures, slide shows, panel discussions and performances. This year’s series has been funded by the Oxnard College Foundation. We encourage all students and welcome members of the community to attend.

Audrey McCann, Director of the Camarillo Yoga Center, will talk about the evolution of this 5,000-year-old practice (referred to as “the hot exercise trend”) and how yoga can benefit us today and will then instruct us on a simple breathing exercise and a short daily meditation.

Suzanne Lawrence, Docent for the Ventura County Museum of History And Art, will present a living history performance of Ventura County from 1815 – 1915, as told by Anna Paquette, a resident who arrived in Ventura in 1905.
