EMP Students Tour the California Science Center

In April 2014, the Engineering, Math, and Physics (EMP) Club at Oxnard College ventured to the California Science Center in LA’s Exposition Park.  Highlights of the trip included members braving the perils of riding a bicycle on a high wire elevated two stories off the ground, seeing an IMAX film about the Hubble Space Telescope, and getting an up-close viewing of the Space Shuttle Endeavor.  The trip was paid for with funds raised by the club through a raffle and a “pie a professor or student” Pi Day event held on campus.  It was a great experience for the students, club advisors Justin Miller and Brett Enge, and other staff who joined in the fun.
