Congratulations to Oxnard College CRM student, Josh Sanchez, who won first place in the California Community College “Culinary Arts and Hospitality Symposium” Competition. The event was held Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Energy Resource Center in Downey. This year’s theme was Mole (the traditional Mexican sauce that is served with chicken). Not only did Josh take home the First Place Trophy, he also was awarded a $1,000 check from Shelton’s Poultry, sponsor of the event. Congratulations also to Brianna Silletti, baker of the Margarita Cake, who took third place in the competition.
