2014 Oxnard College Baseball Flying High

After claiming the 2014 WSC North Conference Championship, with a 14-6 record, they stormed into the playoffs.  The Condors defeated East LA 2 games to 1 (4-3, 1-2, 2-0), LA Pierce 2-0 (9-1, 6-5), and Santa Barbara 2-0 (2-1, 3-2) to advance to the CCCAA Baseball Final Four Championship.  Along the way, Oxnard was awarded the 2014 South Super Regional Championship.  The Condors’ 33 victories broke the OC record of 31, set in 1996. This record was set playing eight less regular season games than in ’96.

The Condor Baseball season came to an end in Fresno.  They dropped games against Delta College (5-4) and College of the Sequoias (10-9), putting the Condors at 33-12 for the season.

Oxnard College ace, Luke Eubank, was named WSC North Player of the Year, and Ryan Tinkham was named Ventura County Men’s Athlete of the Year.  The Condors will also have seven sophomores, moving on with Division I scholarships, next year.
